Keemb's comment

Hi all, a very close and good friend dropped a very lovely comment about Tupac and I think it will be interesting to have it posted here. Thanks.

Keemb says:

Oga Kenneto! Nice blog. Just taught I should drop some notes on this Tupac topic cos he's one of my greatest mentors. Believe it or not, 2Pac is still very much alive. How do I know? Cos he lives in my heart. 2Pac was not just a musician, he was an educated activist. He did his things with pride and realism. He was always painted by the media as a GANGSTA but u need to dig deep into his life to find out who he really was. He was a brilliant, artistic, and complex, individual. For one thing, I like him cos he always expressed how he really felt about everything. He neva hid anything. His music showed that. For another thing he was very hardworking. He released an average of 3 songs everyday in the studio. Apart from R.Kelly, I don't know of any other musician who is so hardworking. And it's evident today cos 10 years after his "suspicious" death, he's still releasing albums. Speculations had it that Suge Knight had him killed cos he could not see a talent like 2pac leave his record label after the agreed contract. But we will neva know cos 2pac had many enemies in his lifetime. Many still argue that Biggie was a better talent than 2Pac. I refuse to believe that and I think anyone who listens well to 2pac's lyrics will recognize that 2pac's lyrics were more than just flows or rhymes like Biggie. His lyrics passed on messages. Songs like "Keep your head up" and "Dear Mama" clearly reveal this. And my best song ever... "Life Goes On", reveals the ever ready-to-die life of 2Pac. As for predicting his death, I don't think that was a new thing. While he was alive he always talked about dying cos of the life he lived. Infact he woke up everyday ready to die. The issue of Friday the 13th, Makaveli and others are not enuf to say he planned his death. I believe Tupac is too brave-hearted to fake death for so long. One may dislike him for his lifestyle, but when u look at the conditions under which he grew up, you will praise God for who he became before he died....I could go on and on talking about this guy. I love him so much and I pray that somehow he's alive cos his death is a waste of talent. For anyone who is interested in knowing about 2Pac, i recommend the movie "2Pac - Thug Angel" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0314806/) and u can see more info at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2pac.and like he would say... life goes on.

TUPAC (NUMBER 7)

Tupac, has always been a Rap Artist I so much admire and his music really inspire me a lot. Those days when I was at the Federal Polytechnic Bida (1996), before moving into a University, I have always love his music and that of his greatest enemy Notorious B.I.G. There was no gig then that you would not be thrilled with their songs. I happened to always mime one of his tracks All Eyez on Me then, at most of the shows I performed and Mode 9, who happens to be one of the greatest Rappers we have in Nigeria now did the Paintings (Posters) of such Shows on Campus.

I feel I should use this opportunity to showcase this opportunity to write few things about him on my blog. After leaving the Tyson fight on Saturday September 7, 1996, Tupac was allegedly shot 5 times. He lived through the shooting and was taken to a nearby hospital. He was pronounced dead on Friday September 13, 1996. Friday the 13th was a very suspicious day and there were never any pictures released of Tupac in the hospital. It could also be noted that, in the song "Life Goes On", Tupac raps about his own funeral. The driver of the car in which Tupac was riding, Suge Knight (the executive producer of Death Row Records), didn't show up for questioning about the shooting.

Tupac's alias is Makaveli. Though the spelling is different from Machiavelli, meanwhile Machiavelli was a 16th century Italian philosopher who advocated the staging of one's death in order to evade one's enemies and gain power. In Machiavelli's book Discourses Upon the First Ten Books of Titus Livy, in Book 2 Chapter XIII he says "a prince who wishes to achieve great things must learn to deceive". This is Machiavelli's main idea and is the connection between Tupac and the writings of Machiavelli.

The title of the new album by Makaveli (Tupac) is The 7 Day Theory. He was shot on September 7th; and survived on the 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, and"died" on the 13th. Hence the title The 7 Day Theory. Tupac's album All Eyes on Me was released on Feb.13, 1996. Tupac "died" on Sept.13, 1996. It is quite a coincidence that the two dates are exactly 7 months apart. Tupac officially died at 4:03 PM i.e 4+3 = 7. Also he "died" at an age of 25 years. 2+5 = 7. Therefore, I could simply say, it seems as if, seven is Tupac's number and which happens to remind me that I have always love the number 7. Infact, is really my number and there is no doubt about that. As a Nigerian Juju maestro (Sir Shina Peters) would say, “ 7 7 7 is a number Oluwashina”.

Thanks for checking on my blog once more. I will be very glad if you could drop a comment before stepping out. Mind you, try to check on this site again tomorrow because you might find another interesting topic. Thanks once more.

2007 POLLS: WHERE ARE THE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES?

POLITICS in Nigeria is increasingly assuming a newface. By the day, political actors are being programmed to operate at the fringe of political events in which only those at the helm of government prefer to call the shots.
By this time in 1999, at least political activities were at their raving best. Presidential candidates for different politcal parties had emerged and all had been neckdeep in heated campaigns for votes. The electorate were conscious and hopeful that the transition to civil rule programme would offer the right choice among the array of presidential hopeful .
But today, political activities are at a low ebb. The only thing that seem to keep hope alive about the government programme for 2007 general elections in the nation is the creation by INEC of three new political parties.
Towards the closing chapter of last year, at least four prominent political figures from the Northern axis and one Southerner were seen putting things together as part of their preparations to contest the 2007 presidential polls. Those believed to be interested in the coveted seat include, the incumbent Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, General Ibrahim Babangida, Gen. Buba Marwa, General Muhammed Buhari, Governor Uzor Kalu of Abia State and to some extent Alhaji Sanni Yerima,s governor of Zamfara State.
While the aforementioned contenders are believed to be members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) others are believed to be seeking the position on the platform of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP). However, when Nigerians were expecting more fireworks from the aspirants in terms of campaigns and public pronouncements on their ambitions, the nation was suddenly caught by the ‘third term bug’. Since the past two years, the issue of the third term agenda at the instance of the present civilian government has become a national discourse while other issues of national significance are increasingly being pushed to the background.
Apart from the third term bug, the activities of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in the last few years have not helped matters. The presidential hopefuls who had earlier declared and oiled their political machines for the task ahead have all retraced their steps in the race for the presidency in 2007.
At present, one of the very last aspirants, Governor Uzor Kalu, has had his account frozen by the EFCC operatives and this it was alleged, is to make him drop his presidential ambition. However, the presidential ambition of Governor Sanni Yerima, has been limited to campaign posters and bill boards with no concrete structures on ground for the actualization of his dream.
The rumoured third term agenda of the incumbent president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo to recontest the 2007 polls, if the 1999 Constitution is amended to suit the plan according to political observers, has constituted a major hindrance to the declaration of some aspirants for the job.
Before the emergence of the third term agenda on the political scene, most of the aspirants were said to have put down their structures in virtually all the 36 states with state and zonal coordinators appointed for the task ahead. Top on the list of those highly rumoured to be interested in the 2007 polls is the former military president, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida. General Babangida’s interest in occupying the Aso Rock dated back to the pre-2003 general elections, when the rumour mill was agog that the Minna General would square it up with his boss, President Obasanjo in the 2003 presidential contest. However, Babangida’s touted aspiration remained a rumour till the end of the contest, as President Obasanjo returned to office in 2003.
Few months into the current term, General Babangida’s name, expectedly resurfaced as one of those seeking to succeed President Obasanjo in 2007. Several political groups said to be working for the presidential aspiration of the former president equally sprung up in all the states with the slogan ‘Vision 007’. At a point, most of the groups had to fuse into one, when it was evident that it was going to cause more of division than unity among the groups and individuals working for the Minna-born general.
Despite the media hype which accompanied the rumoured declaration of interest by IBB, little or nothing is now heard of his ambition. The vigour and commitment which was the hall mark of the support for him have since fizzled into thin air.
Two things are said to be responsible for IBB’s change of plan. One, the controversial third term agenda while the other hangs on the yet to be released Okigbo panel report. Sources disclosed to the Sunday Tribune that, the thinking in the anti Babangida presidential camp is that “at the appropriate time the much touted Okigbo report believed to be missing would be finally released for Babangida to answer the question raised in the report, which bordered on his activities as the number one man in the country then”.
It was further gathered that, the reported presentation of the report to the last constitutional conference for debate was the beginning of the steps towards the dismantling of the presidential structures of the Minna General. Since that epic presentation, nothing has been heard from the Vision 007 offices spread across Nigeria, even as the IBB campaign offices at different locations in Nigeria have been abandoned.
General Buba Marwa’s interest in the presidency, before now , was the talk of the town among political pundits. A school of thought had it that, the former Lagos State administrator was the joker to be used by President Obasanjo as far as the 2007 presidential polls is concerned. To others, General Marwa was only being used to cause division in the Adamawa State chapter of the PDP having hailed from the state with the incumbent vice president, Atiku Abubakar, while others believed he was all along fronting for Gen. Babangida.
Marwa’s followers, before the hammer fell, could be said to have cut across the six geo political divides. He was savouring the opportunity to raise his profile by taking traditional titles from across the country. Gen. Marwa’s declaration for the PDP cum presidency no doubt caught the attention and interest of international political watchers particularly, Nigerians in the diaspora. It was a carnival like occasion in Yola, Adamawa State capital, when the public declaration was made, even though, his state government was said tohave been opposed to the declaration and ensured that the ceremony did not take place at the publicised venue.
Soon after the Adamawa declaration, the Marwa camp went full throttle drumming support for the ambition of the former military administrator. Vehicles were brought, numerous posters were pasted all over the country while Marwa suddenly became the “aspirant to beat”. But from the blues, came a major obstacle on the way to Aso Rock for General Marwa. Largely unexpected, the EFCC went after the Albarka chief, on allegation that some funds looted by the late Head of States, General Abacha found its way to his (Marwa) personal foreign account.
Marwa, according to media reports, spent some days in the cooler with operatives of the EFCC, and after days of gruelling interrogation, the Adamawa politician was left off the hook and by now the campaigners for Marwa’s presidency in 2007 are to say the least, no where to be found.
Vice President Atiku Abubakar, political analysts argued appears to be the most vilified of all the presidential aspirants. Atiku’s political travails is said to have started immediately he indicated interest in contesting the 2003 PDP primaries against his boss, President Obasanjo. It was further gathered that, it took high tech political lobbying, horse trading and last minute manipulations by Chief Tony Anenih, and others to save President Obasanjo from being disgraced by his deputy, Atiku Abubakar before the 2003 presidential election.
Since that development, which sources disclosed shook President Obasanjo to his marrow, Atiku with his dream to rule over Nigeria has continued to plunge headlong albeit into the river of uncertainty. Atiku is currently in the eye of the storm in the PDP since efforts are being made to either send him out of the party or force him to resign from office.
The Vice President would have been a guest of the EFCC by now if not that, his office guarantees him immunity from arrest. Recent media reports have continued to link the vice president with the newly registered MRDD and ACD. Apart from the above, Atiku Abubakar’s stance against the alleged third term agenda of his boss and his alleged sponsor of anti-third term campaign most especially at the just concluded zonal public hearing on the review of the 1999 constitution is one sin too many against Aso Rock and its agents.
Governor Uzor Kalu of Abia State, many believe, is a pretender in the contest for the number one seat in the country. He is equally seen in political circles as an Atiku supporter despite his declaration of interest in the presidential race against 2007. Kalu’s recent acerbic comments on the rumoured third term bid of President Obasanjo and his resolve to ensure that such does not see the light of the day, has caused more problems for his own ambition. The EFCC, it was gathered, is currently running rings round the Abia State governor. .
General Muhammed Buhari has never made pretenses about wanting to rule Nigeria. He contested the presiential election in 2003, and after losing out, he resolved to challenge the election result in a law court. Buhari had hoped to prove a point by challenging the victory of President Olusegun Obasanjo in court and had shown sufficient seriousness in pursuing the litigation till when the final ruling was made.
All the same, Buhari has not renounced his presidential ambition. Since the past two years, he has been parleying with different political forces from across the geo-political zones and has been active in fighting the alleged third term bid of President Olusegun Obasanjo. Like other presidential aspirants, Buhari has not formally announced his intention for the 2007 presidential election. The third term agenda and the uncertainty surrounding the terminal date for the present government ae the main reasons why his plans are being put on had now.
Meanwhile, the crisis within Buhari’s ANPP is another reason the ANPP former presidential candidate appears for now to be incapacitated. On newspaper pages and bill boards, the presidential hopefuls are making impressions, but on the political turf, there appears to be no one on ground, as would-be aspirants have been run aground by forces believed not to be comfortable with their activities. The EFCC, through its anti corruption crusade against past and current leaders have sort of, reduced the presidential tussle to a one man show whereas the incumbent President Obasanjo if allowed by the constitution remains the only candidate against himself.

HOW TO IMPRESS ANY WOMAN

I've learned a secret to impressing women that I'm going to share with you today. It's a secret that probably not 1 in 1,000 men knows or will ever figure out on his own. The REASON that most men will never figure out this particular secret is that it's TOO OBVIOUS. Let me explain... I personally think that most men feel a very powerful desire to IMPRESS women. If you watch the way a man behaves when he's talking to a woman he's just met or a woman that he's on a first date with, you can SEE IT. Maybe you've been there yourself. I know I have. Many, many times, in fact. The feeling that you need to impress a woman usually comes along with another feeling: DON'T SCREW THIS UP. Here are some of the signs that a guy is feeling the need to "impress" the woman that he's talking to:

1) He tries to only say "cool" things, or things that will "impress" the woman.
2) He acts nervous and stilted during the conversation... sometimes coming across as"formal"
3) He tries to figure out what the woman wants to hear.
4) If he says something that the woman doesn't like, he "back-pedals" and tries to change what he said to suit the woman.
5) He doesn't say anything "risky", doesn't tease the woman, and doesn't do anything to upset her....in other words, when a guy is talking to awoman that he "likes", he's usually on his "best behavior", and he's trying to "put his best footforward".
To say it again, MEN FEEL A POWERFUL DRIVE TO IMPRESS THE WOMAN THAT THEY "LIKE". And this drive to impress often makes them act UNNATURAL. There's your first hint, in fact...THE SECRET Remember at the beginning when I told you that I was going to share a secret with you about how to impress women that not 1 in 1,000 men will figure out on their own? Well, here it is: STOP TRYING. If you will just STOP TRYING to impress women, and do the things I'm teaching you instead, women will NATURALLY be "impressed" by you.TRYING TO IMPRESS A WOMAN DOESN'T IMPRESS HER. So let's break this down...WHY IMPRESSING WOMEN IS THE WRONG ROAD What's wrong with trying to "impress" women, anyway? To start with, EVERYTHING. When you intentionally try to impress a woman, you send the following messages on a "subtle" level:

1) I don't think you'll like me for who I am, so I will try to "impress" you instead.
2) I'm not comfortable enough around women to just act normal.
3) I don't have a lot of experience with attractive women.
4) I'm insecure.
5) I don't know how to make women feel comfortable with me.

Ouch. But it's the truth. Women can TELL INSTANTLY when you're "trying". The conversation doesn't feel "normal", your body language is strange, and you can't seem tohave a regular conversation. Now of course, I've just described the way that about 99.9999% of men act when they're first talking to a woman that they "like". Are you ready for a profound insight? Here goes...MOST MEN DO THIS WITH MOST ATTRACTIVE WOMEN MOST OF THE TIME. IN OTHER WORDS, IT'S OLD NEWS. IT'S BORING. IT'S PREDICTABLE. AND IT DOES NOT IMPRESS AT ALL. The bottom line is that trying to impress a woman usually has the OPPOSITE effect. It not only makes you look like a nervous guy who can't make normal conversation... it also bores the hell out of women. WHAT TO DO INSTEAD OK, so you're out having a cup of tea with a beautiful woman you just met a few days before... She asks you what you do for a living. Should you answer with:

1) "Well, I'm an engineer for a software company that makes sophisticated vector widget plotting algorithms. I've been with them for three years, and I'm about to be promoted to ALGORITHM MANAGER."
2) "I do stunt work. Have you ever seen it in a movie when a hot actor has to reveal his naked ass? That's my job."...?

Well, it all depends on what your outcome is. If you want to try and IMPRESS the girl with your cool high-tech job, then #1 will work just fine. Unfortunately, it won't impress her at all, and it will make you sound like a jack ass who is trying to sound cool. If you want to ACTUALLY impress her, try #2. Most men don't have the BALLS to say something like this when a woman asks a "serious" questionlike "What do you do?".
If you REALLY want to make a long-lasting impression, KEEP THE HUMOR GOING. She'll say "No, really... what do you do?". Answer with: "No, really. Haven't you ever seen it when an actor needs a stunt ass? I mean hey... someone's got to do it".
Now, I can't possibly go into all the reasons why it's a HUGE MISTAKE to try to impress a woman, or to feel like everything you say should be"impressive". There are MANY reasons for this. MORE IMPORTANTLY, there are a few things you can do that will INSTANTLY impress a woman...and I mean REALLY impress her. But these things aren't OBVIOUS. The most IMPORTANT thing you can do to IMPRESS a woman is make her feel a powerful emotional ATTRACTION for you. This feeling will stay with her long after youhave left and gone home. And it's the one thing that will make women pursue YOU... and try to impress YOU.

Meanwhile, if you have Christ, you don't really need to bother your head on how to impress any woman, as the LORD JESUS CHRIST will definitely make you come across your lost rib in HIS own designed time.

Thanks for dropping by, but I will be very glad if you could drop a comment or two, either in contrary or in support of this secret, I call "how to impress any woman".
